Thinking of you
7-19-08
I'm getting ready to go uptown for the annual Blood Brothers and thinking of how much we are going to miss your laughter, singing and dancing tonight. We think of you and miss you.
Mom..
July 17-2008
Mom I miss you so much. They say time heals the pain but I truly think about you more and more everyday and it does not get any easier. I am almost done with my first week of my new job and I miss talking to you on the phone. I always loved hearing your voice when I called home. I pray for you every night. Thanks for everything you have done. I love you!!
Remembering Susie

I was in Belgrade over the 4th of July and stopped by the cemetery. Susie’s marker is absolutely beautiful. I also noticed the tree that Don planted. I paused by Grandma and Grandpa Schaefer’s marker as well and thought about how many times Susie probably stood at this very spot, missing her parents. And now she is with her parents. Life is so short and precious. Thinking of Susie, Don, Tracy, and Rob everyday… you are in our prayers

I’m not sure what year this photo was taken… maybe 1999. It is most of the females on the Schaefer side.
Missing you
7-7-2008
Getting together this year for the 4th of July just wasn't the same without Sue being with us. I missed her laughter and visiting with her. Family is so important, and when someone is missing it isn't the same. I miss you Sue,and love you.
Happy 4th of July!!!

The Garbage Truck of Life
6-22-2008
I received this email from a friend and thought it was something mom would want us to live by. Enjoy. The Garbage Truck of Life.
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane
when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!
The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked,"Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!"
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call,"The Law of the Garbage Truck."
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up,
they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.
Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so "Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't."
Life is ten percent what you make it
and ninety percent how you take it!
