Alex, All the Best,
Congratulations old friend! I remember how focused you were back in college; including learning Arabic back when no one thought it would be that important. It's good to see all that hard work recognized.

I won't pick on you as Rob did, only because I don't know you as well. I looked through my pictures from Mosul and couldn't find any of you. I know there is a pic or 2 of you with the Blade Runners. Congrats again, BR 3
Congratulations.

Hey Alex, I know I didn't work with you as long as Rob did, but the time I did work with you are times that I won't forget. We had an awesome team and even though I am in Iraq now, that deployment will never fade from memory. And everytime I use an interpreter I am reminded of how lucky we were to have someone as competent and intelligent as you are! I wish i had that here! All the others suck! I havent heard from you in a while so I hope that in addition to this promotion, life has been treating you well. I heard you are getting promoted in DC...is that where you live now? Maybe I will run into you when I get home. We should have a team reunion one of these days! Take care and enjoy your special day! You deserve it! :)

You are still the best interpreter I've ever had! Congratulations!
Our whole family looks hot in turtlenecks. ...Except maybe not Mom... or Dad.

Dear Big Mary That's a Boy, Apparently, when I was not even yet five years old, I told my preschool teacher that I thought I was not good enough because I had a perfect brother I could never live up to. Please stop getting promoted--you're making me look bad. --Your favorite sister. PS: I'm so sorry I can't make this Saturday. You're an extraordinary man and an incredible human to whom I am proud to be related. Congratulations! I love you, and I miss Theresa. I mean you and Theresa.
You can't run from your past!

Alex- I gotta say I'm a kinda awe struck by your many accomplishments in recent years. You've learned arabic, traveled to iraq and fought insurgents, and returned home to meet your future wife. Now you are getting promoted to major. That's one helluva decade. However, the one thing that amazes more than any other of these unbelievable accomplishments is the fact that you still believe that you "look hot in a turtleneck." My friend, it's time we have a turtleneck intervention here. Honestly, I gotta know where on Earth did you get that god awful turtleneck? (For those of you who haven't seen the turtleneck, please see the photo Theresa put up. It's truely a hideous sight) Brian
