Bev,
When I lucked upon Ourstory.com one day, doing a simple search looking for an online journal site, i never could have imagined what God had in store for me. It has been such a blessing and one that continues to mold me, inspire me, encourage me. And you were one of the first people I meet on the site. I soon found that you not only a good friend, but you were diffently a gift from God. I cannot count the number of times when I was dealing with a certain issue, asking questions or just needing a pick me up on a bad day, you were there for me, with the right words of wisdom or even the words of a challenge i should pick up and take. Your words in your posting are certainly God Sent. and I hope you know how important you have become to so many of us. you never fail to encourage all of us with your comments on our postings. it is an honor to consider you my Friend. May God continue to guide you as he has been and may you continue to bless each of us with your words from your heart.

My momma

What can I say about my momma. I believe no one could ever have a better one. She made sure that we had a warm and loving home always. She watched all of our children and other peoples children. She was always the 'cool' mom. Everyone always felt and feels comfortable going to her home. When ever one of our friends are looking us up to see how we are doing they always call mom's house. We were all brought up to believe in God. We read the Word and spent many hrs with the family. We didn't always watch tv at night. We were incouraged to read, play games, play outside and with each other. We all knew that we had someone to play with because we had each other.
You know every christmas she would have us look in the Wish Book and make a list of the things we wanted. She would then tell our family what we wanted and we would get just about everything on the list. We may have not been rich with money but we were always and still are rich with love.
My mom has a great scence of humor. I remember always wanting to be with my mom when I was growing up. I remember one time I got a chance to go to camp. I didn't want to go because she was not feeling so well at the time. I didn't want her to be alone. My teacher didn't understand this. My mom has been strengthened by the ups and downs in her life. We werent' perfect girls but we always knew and know that we can always go home to momma.
I think that I am a strong woman for having her as my mom and mentor. Life would be boring without her.
Thank you all for being her friends. She thinks a lot of all of you. When we talk on the phone she tells me of the things you all write back and forth. You all are good for her. She enjoys all of you so much.

Hello my momma. You have always been an inspiration to me. I know that I don't always have time for you and I feel so bad about that. But I know you know that I think of you always. I love you with all of my heart and soul. Thank you for being my mom. You have always been a good, fair, loving and caring mom.

Had to drop by and add my wishes for you and yours to have the happiest safest healthiest and blessed Christmas celebration ever. You're always there to wish the best for each of us and and keep us spiritually strong. Rightfully this tribute to you is well deserved.
