You have been dear and special friend these past many years. The time in Barcelona was a wonderful learning experience I will never forget. Your faithful prayers carried us over. Blessings on this your special day. It's great to see that you have friends in all age groups- what more could a girl want?
love you, Meta and Alena
You'll always be older than me (but always young at heart)!

I've still got two more years to go! LaRee, you have such a fun attitude with life! The pastor's wife dancing...in the snow...at a Christmas parade...with LaRee...while her husband shook his head... and laughed! Only LaRee!!! I love you so much! You do realize that old palm trees bear sweeter fruit?! Jesus said,"...I have appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last." John 15:16

Two words; Road Kill Queen
the 80's ish
In my whole life I have yet to find an equal in identifying animals whose highway strewn bodies littered the highways and byways.
It was my very first outing with this newcomer to church. We had set our sails for the beach. The van was loaded with children, food and we were aiming for fun. We hadn't gone even half a block when my new friend spotted a lump on the highway . Quietly she announced, "skunk."
As this was MY habit of identifying road kill for my young aspiring fly tying fisherman, when the NEXT happless body was spotted on the roadside, OF COURSE I quietly and quickly announced "opposum". As our trip to the beach continued we found ourselves waiting on the edge of our seat ready for the next animal to be identified. This continued ALL THE WAY TO THE BEACH AND BACK! Need I say, the Queen of road kill emerged the triumphant winner when just blocks from LaRee's home she spotted a calico cat that hadn't been there on our departure... With lightening speed, She uttered the Most amazing deduction.... "Calico cat! FEMALE!" WOW! At 50 miles an hour Laree could spot the animal, name the color AND proclaim the GENDER! I conceded that she was the greatest Road kill Queen that I had EVER seen! And to show that there was no hard feelins, I purchased a box of "Roadkill Helper". (or was it the other way around?.) I knew that I had met my match although it took all the way to the beach and back to give her that title. She deserved it!
A drive down the road still brings a smile. She's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are many more memories of laughing till our sides would split, talks about the Lord and His word and work in our life, trips to Spokane, photographing Mom and Dad in the pouring rain, "arranging the furniture" with horizontal images turned sideways because Laree wouldn't notice... deliverence ministry, more laughs, prayers and tears.
You are special , Laree, and are greatly loved. Thanks for being such good competition, company, and Christian fellowship. Hope your next 50 are even more a blessing to you and all that you know and love, In Christ,
Peggy Short- Nottage
