Doug's 44th Birthday
http://www.tribbit.com/tribute/53441.htmlJuly 15th is Doug's birthday. He doesn't always realize what a special guy he is. Now is your chance to let him know what he means to you or to simply send a birthday greeting! Maybe now he will know that his sister DOES love him!

Dougie, in our indentured days at ditech you flabbergasted underwriters, confounded management, dressed in rags that would've got a scarecrow terminated, mastered panic, and fortified the tobacco industry with benchmark gains. While most of us were putting on five to ten pounds a year you managed to go weeks at a time on a single bag of del taco. It was a inspiring moment to be in and you provided enough fodder for a lifetime of Doug stories. Here's to the next forty years, mate.

Happy Birthday from Kevin
Early nineties photo:
What can I say, you're the man... always a joy to be around and talk to. I wish we could see each other more, but even the little time we've spent together has given me great life-long memories. Have a great birthday! Kevin

Flush Doug,
Our excursion to Shoreline to see The Greatful Dead, pool halls in Hunnington, late night microwaved egg sandwiches in your 3-t.v. stacked apartment, smoke filled-dart throwing nights at Sandpiper, wine tasting in Napa, black jack in Vegas, hiking in Golden Gate Park, trips to Idyllwild, Sundays at the Majors, and countless BBQs... those are all memories of the ages. But nothing tops you taking a month off work and Kerouacing your way across country to our wedding. That is the true meaning of friendship. Hope the day is great and the year is even better.
We love you,
Josh, Amy, Alex, Ben and Jordan

Dear Doug,
You claim to this day that I am the one that taught you how to write the letter "a". While I do not remember that, I do remember the bond that was created all those years ago, similar to the one our fathers had. And although it is very infrequently that we actually get together, every time I feel as though we always pick up right where we left off. I only wish the miles were fewer between us.
I hope you have a great birthday and that it is not long before we can get together again.
Love,
Barry

Sorry Doug, This is the only recent picture I could find of you. We really need to work on getting some updated pictures don’t you think? Well, I wish you a very happy birthday and I’m proud to call you by brother-in-law. Remember that you can always count on us for anything and everything. Your favorite sister-in-law, p.s. Can I claim this title? You bet I can!

This happened in May 2006, during Rachel's Bat Mitzvah weekend in Michigan. We were at my sister's (Janet) home and Doug couldn't get over the "large" backyard which is the normal back yard size for that area, and yes, another LA house would fit in the yard. Doug raked some leaves since he hadn't ever done that and he couldn't believe the amount of leaves that were still in the yard after he was done!! Doug is often in deep thought and he tells stories that have us laughing. Family is important to him and he loves being an uncle. It's always wonderful to get together and it feels like we just spoke to each other the day before.
Much love, Susan
